amanda bouchet offers sneak peek at heart on fire

While fantasy romance fans are still in for a six-month wait for the final installment in the Kingmaker Chronicle series, Amanda Bouchet recently offered fans a look at what’s to come in her upcoming novel, Heart on Fire.

Following a cover reveal for the latest addition to the series back in May, Bouchet has been offering fans a glimpse at the novel a little at a time. Heart on Fire will be the conclusion to Cat and Griffin’s story, which spans two novels, A Promise of Fire and Breath of Fire. As Breath of Fire began to touch on Cat’s mysterious past and ended with quite the surprise, the wait for the final novel in the series is killing me.

About Heart on Fire:

Who is Catalia Fisa?
With the help of pivotal figures from her past, Cat begins to understand the root of her exceptional magic, her fated union with Griffin Sinta, and Griffin’s role in shaping her destiny.

Only Cat holds the key to unlocking her own power, and that means finally accepting herself, her past, and her future in order to protect her loved ones, confront her murderous mother, and taking a final, terrifying step–reuniting all three realms and taking her place as the Queen of Thalyria.

What doesn’t kill her will only make her stronger…we hope.

Luckily, fans of the series only have to wait a few more months for the final installment, which is set to release on January 2, 2018.

In the meantime, fans can enjoy a sneak peek of Heart on Fire with a recently released excerpt from the novel, which, according to Bouchet, is almost a whole chapter long. If you are like me, however, and don’t want to spoil the novel before it comes out (even though I am dying to read the excerpt), Bouchet does sometimes offer snippets of the novel in the form of a sentence or two on social media.

If you want to avoid spoilers entirely, you can always take a look at her website and read a few pieces that might help you to understand the world and its characters a bit more, including her piece on the Origin of Thalryia.
