A heartwarming fall read.

Maggie Stiefvater is well on her way to becoming one of my favorite authors. Although I was initially hesitant to pick up her latest standalone novel, All the Crooked Saints, I was surprised once again by her well-written and lyrical prose. Full of atmosphere and life, Stiefvater’s latest release transports you to a small town in Colorado, where miracles are born. Touching on topics of love and family, All the Crooked Saints is full of kindness and warmth that will certainly pick you up as the cold weather is making its way in.

About All the Crooked Saints:

Here is a thing everyone wants: a miracle.
Here is a thing everyone fears: what it takes to get one.

Any visitor to Bicho Raro, Colorado is likely to find a landscape of dark saints, forbidden love, scientific dreams, miracle-mad owls, estranged affections, one or two orphans, and a sky full of watchful desert stars.

At the heart of this place you will find the Soria family, who all have the ability to perform unusual miracles. And at the heart of this family are three cousins longing to change its future: Beatriz, the girl without feelings, who wants only to be free to examine her thoughts; Daniel, the Saint of Bicho Raro, who performs miracles for everyone but himself; and Joaquin, who spends his nights running a renegade radio station under the name Diablo Diablo.

They are all looking for a miracle. But the miracles of Bicho Raro are never quite what you expect.

In honor of the recent release of Maggie Stiefvater’s All the Crooked Saints, here are some of our favorite Instagram snaps.

I absolutely adore Henrik III's eyes. His brothers and sister all have green eyes, but Henrik III has orange toned ones and me loves that. ▫▫ I'm currently in Verona, Italy ayyyyeeee. We tried the oh so famous Italian pizza that cost way too much, we pet miniature goats (we named one Zofi) and we visited Juliet Capulet's balcony and if you ever go to Verona, I dare you to try & find my "be a flamingo in the world full of pigeons" quote written on the wall that leads to that balcony. ▫ ▫ I was tagged by the lovely @notyouraveragemundane to do the #bookboyfriendtag. Thank you! 😏 Dreamboat (raised your expectations to unthinkable levels); good ol Rhysand 😏 Cavemen (played hard to get but is actually a softie); Rowan Whitethorn 😏 Cotton candy (old school romantic); Peeta Mellark 😏 Repressed jerk (was a player until he met the heroine); Jace Whateverhissurnameis 😏 Friend for all times (got beyond the friend zone); Adrian Ivashkov 😏 Human torch (no firefighter can put his fire out); Akiva ▫▫▫ #kitten #catsofinstagram #allthecrookedsaints #maggiestiefvater #bookstagram

Good morning guys! Has anyone read All the Crooked Saints yet? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Just no spoilers please! My copy arrived yesterday and I’m so keen to make a start on it! Have you read anything else by @maggie_stiefvater before? Do you have a favourite? She’s become an auto buy author for me. I’ve loved everything I’ve read by her so far. I had the chance to meet her a few years back now and she’s so cool. Very quirky and funny. I’d highly recommend heading along to one of her book signings if you get the chance! . 📖 – Synopsis – . 1o.17.17 / i’m nearly finished with all the crooked saints, and though i haven’t finished it yet, i can say that, frankly, i haven’t enjoyed it as much as the raven cycle or the scorpio races. like i said, i haven’t finished it yet, but those are my feelings as of late. HOWEVER IT’S STILL A LOVELY READ!! definitely feels more like a summer read and less like an autumn read, though. it is an extremely quotable book. get ready for my full review later on • in other news, today was A DAY. it was one of those days where i woke up just knowing that it would be long and dreadful. i actually had plans tonight, but to make a long story short, because of a professor’s last minute assignment of a complicated project involving the plot of an original screenplay that definitely shouldn’t take a single day to write, i had to cancel my plans and brainstorm for about 5 hours 💀💀💀 i ended up submitting something subpar purely because of the deadline. YAY. hooray. here’s to hoping the rest of my week is better than today
