Ruth Ware continues her page-turning onslaught with the release of her third thriller, The Lying Game.
Fans have been waiting nearly a year for Ware’s next page-turner, and those prayers were answered this morning when Entertainment Weekly revealed the cover art for the British novelist’s summer thriller, The Lying Game.
Ware’s latest mystery will chronicle four former best friends at Salten, a “second-rate boarding school” where the girls have spent years burying each other’s secrets. While there, the women come together by playing what they referred to as “the lying game,” in which they deliberately lie to their classmates and teachers, but never to each other. However, one woman’s precarious discovery and an arbitrary text message could unearth the big little secrets shared between Fatima, Thea, Kate, and Isabel.
With two jaw-dropping thrillers under the bestselling author’s belt already—In a Dark, Dark Wood (2015) and Woman in Cabin 10 (2016)—Ware’s work never ceases to amaze her readers. As to be expected from Ware, telling by her later works, The Lying Game will without a doubt arrive fully-loaded with the same suspense element, page-turning rhythm, and breakneck twists and turns she’s built her name on.
